This mare foaled 8 Lippitt Morgans for Robert Lippitt Knight\u2019s breeding program: Lippitt Arrowhead, Lippitt Ellen, Lippitt Silvester, Lippitt Spearhead, Lippitt Tilly, Lippitt Trilby, Lippitt Victor, and Trilbrook Ashrila.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Arrowhead had three Lippitt foals, one being Lippitt White Spot (by<span class=\"text_exposed_show\"> Lippitt Billy Ash). Lippitt White Spot had only one foal, a half-Lippitt colt named Stormalong. Her blood can be found in the Morgans that trace back to Stormalong (he had 13 registered Morgan offspring). Another foal, Skiparee Proud Lady had two half-Lippitts, one by Easter Twilight (Skiparee Miss Liza). Skiparee Miss Liza had 5 registered Morgans for Greystone Morgans (none Lippitts). A colt out of Lippitt Arrowhead, named Lippitt Aurelius (by Lippitt Selassie), was registered as a minimal sabino. He had one Lippitt colt, Lee Edison, also registered as a minimal sabino. Lee Edison does not appear to have had any registered Lippitt progeny.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Ellen had one registered Lippitt progeny, a colt named Lippitt Albee. No registered Lippitt Morgan progeny are found for Lippitt Albee.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Silvester had 9 Lippitt progeny for the Trilbrook breeding program \u2013 including Trilbrook Carrie, Trilbrook Judeen, Trilbrook Peter, Trilbrook Philena, Trilbrook Seth, Trilbrook Silas, and Trilbook Simeon \u2013 Carrie, Judeen, Philena, and Silas all had Lippitt progeny.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Spearhead does not appear to have had any Lippitt progeny.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Tilly had 7 Lippitt progeny, including Heritage Ethan (who starred in the original Disney film, \u201cJustin Morgan Had a Horse\u201d). Heritage Ethan was gelded, but an older half-brother named Heritage (by Lippitt Jeep), Iris Farm Trilby, and Lippitt Cecelia bred more Lippitts on. Lippitt Cecelia\u2019s colt, Robin Selassie, did not have any full Lippitt progeny. Iris Farm Trilby\u2019s colt, Tekoa Ben Eldon, did not breed any full Lippitts on. Heritage had one Lippitt colt (Heritage Shiloh) and one Lippitt filly (Lorelei\u2019s April H). Shiloh did not have any Lippitt progeny, but Lorelei\u2019s April H foaled Iron Horse Lady Heritage (1998) and Iron Horse Trixie H (2000). Those two mares do not have any registered Lippitt foals, as of yet.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Trilby had 4 Lippitt progeny. A colt who was later gelded, Lippitt Firelight, sired two half-Lippitt Morgans for Towne-Ayr. A mare, Lippitt O Be Kean, had one Lippitt filly, Nippitt Robin Morgan, but the filly was not bred on. Lippitt Trilby\u2019s other two foals, Lippitt Eldon and Lippitt Tilda, do not have any Lippitt progeny.<\/p>\n<p>Lippitt Victor does not have any known Lippitt progeny.<\/p>\n<p>Trilbrook Ashrila does not have any known Lippitt progeny.<\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for the blood of Lippitt Trilby Ash in your Lippitt Morgan, though she had 8 foals, it appears that you will have to be looking for lines that trace back to only two of them \u2013 to Lippitt Tilly through the Iron Horse mares, and to Lippitt Silvester through some of the Trilbrook-bred horses.<\/p>\n<p>A reminder at how slender a thread can be, when it comes to breeding.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lippitt Trilby Ash was foaled in 1931, sired by Ashbrook and out of Trilby.
