Here is your wee Friday Flashback for today:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> This is a short blurb about the Lippitt Foundation mare, Rose of Sutton, written by Laura Stillwell Algranti for a 1985 issue of the Lippitt Club News.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Rose of Sutton (Bob Morgan x G M Prescott Mare) was bred by L.H. Pond of Sutton, VT and foaled in 1904. Although her sire line is Woodbury, she is really a \u201cSherman.\u201d She has 18 <span class=\"text_exposed_show\">crosses to Sherman and 11 to Woodbury and 2 in Bulrush. Six of her crosses to Sherman are through the great Billy Root 9 and four are through Batchelder 17.<\/p>\n<p>(Rose of Sutton\u2019s) sire, Bob Morgan, was one of the best Vermont Stallions of his time.
