Lippitt Trilby Ash was foaled in 1931, sired by Ashbrook and out of Trilby. This mare foaled 8 Lippitt Morgans for Robert Lippitt Knight’s breeding program: Lippitt Arrowhead, Lippitt Ellen, Lippitt Silvester, Lippitt Spearhead, Lippitt Tilly, Lippitt Trilby, Lippitt Victor, and Trilbrook Ashrila.
Lippitt Arrowhead had three Lippitt foals, one being Lippitt White Spot (by Lippitt Billy Ash). Lippitt White Spot had only one foal, a half-Lippitt colt named Stormalong. Her blood can be found in the Morgans that trace back to Stormalong (he had 13 registered Morgan offspring). Another foal, Skiparee Proud Lady had two half-Lippitts, one by Easter Twilight (Skiparee Miss Liza). Skiparee Miss Liza had 5 registered Morgans for Greystone Morgans (none Lippitts). Lippitt Cecelia’s colt, Robin Selassie, did not have any full Lippitt progeny. Iris Farm Trilby’s colt, Tekoa Ben Eldon, did not breed any full Lippitts on. Heritage had one Lippitt colt (Heritage Shiloh) and one Lippitt filly (Lorelei’s April H). Shiloh did not have any Lippitt progeny, but Lorelei’s April H foaled Iron Horse Lady Heritage (1998) and Iron Horse Trixie H (2000). Those two mares do not have any registered Lippitt foals, as of yet.
Lippitt Trilby had 4 Lippitt progeny. A colt who was later gelded, Lippitt Firelight, sired two half-Lippitt Morgans for Towne-Ayr. A mare, Lippitt O Be Kean, had one Lippitt filly, Nippitt Robin Morgan, but the filly was not bred on. Lippitt Trilby’s other two foals, Lippitt Eldon and Lippitt Tilda, do not have any Lippitt progeny.
