This is a photo of Harrison Miles of Trilbrook Morgans and mare and foal, Lippitt Sandra (Lippitt Sam x Bethal) and Trilbrook Bobra (by Nabob Morgan). Trilbrook Bobra was foaled in 1954, and went on to produce 6 Trilbrook-prefixed Lippitt Morgans – all chestnuts!

Here is an excerpt from a piece by Nancy Plimpton, written for the 1995 Historical Issue of the LCN, Vol XXII, No 3, p. 11:

“Harrison helped me to get started with my NABUB breeding program with a loan of a mare, Trilbrook Belle Miles. He was a great help to many others, too, including Joyce Searles’ JESTA MORGANS, and Wes and Joy Smith and Barb Pflug with their WEATHERMONT MORGANS.

Like Lyle Horton, who predeceased Harrison by a few years, Harrison had a way of teaching you about Lippitt Morgans, always keeping you eager to learn more. They both had a way of imparting knowledge that not only made you appreciate this fine animal, but actually made you love it with your heart and soul. What you learned with your head was just not enough.”

How many of you have been fortunate enough to have access to a Lippitt Morgan breeder’s wisdom and experience as you have entered the world of this very special horse?
